Christ is the firstfruits of them that slept.

But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming 1Corinthians 15:20-23.

Christ is the firstfruits of them that slept, afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

The law represented heavenly things, and not the very image of the things. Three times in the year all thy males (thy sons) shall appear before the Lord GOD.

Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year. Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib (Nisan); for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:) Exodus 23:14-15.

And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field (The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom, Matthew 13:38): and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field (those sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory, see Ephesians 1:12-14). Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD Exodus 23:14-17.

  • the feast of unleavened bread.

 

The word unleavened H4682 matstsâh; properly sweetness; concretely sweet (that is, not soured or bittered with yeast); specifically an unfermented cake or loaf, or (elliptically) the festival of Passover (because no leaven was then used): – unleavened (bread, cake), without leaven.

The word leaven H2557 châmêts; is from H2556; ferment, (figuratively) extortion: – leaven, leavened (bread). H2556 châmêts; to be pungent; that is, in taste (sour, that is, literally fermented, or figuratively harsh), in color (dazzling): – cruel (man), dyed, be grieved, leavened.

The word leaven G2219 zumē; ferment (as if boiling up): leaven.

The word unleavened G106 azumos; unleavened, that is, (figuratively) uncorrupted; (in the neuter plural) specifically (by implication) the Passover week: – unleavened (bread).

Purge out therefore (to cleanse thoroughly) the old leaven (beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees, see Matthew 16:6. Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees Matthew 16:12. Beware of fermented doctrine, fermented doctrine is old wine, and old wine is the old covenant from mount Sinai, that genders bondage, see Galatians 4:21-31. You are not to be corrupted with old leaven, old doctrine in you), that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened (For we being many are one bread, and one
body: for we are all partakers of that one bread 1Corinthians 10:17. I am that bread of life John 6:48). For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast (the feast of unleavened bread), not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth (I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world John 6:51) 1Corinthians 5:7-8.

 

Christ is our Passover sacrificed for us.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain James 5:7. The precious fruit of the earth is the sealed, those that the firstfruits of the Spirit, the pouring out of the Holy Spirit, both the early and the latter rain.

 

The feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field.

 

He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man. The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom, see Matthew 13:37-38.

And when the day of Pentecost (fiftieth from Passover, the feast of harvest) was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance Acts 2:1-4. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures James 1:18. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also,
which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body Romans 8:22-23.

 

The feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.

 

 

That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory Ephesians 1:12-14.

And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel Revelation 7:4. And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn
that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God Revelation 14:1-5.

Firstfruits

 

Christ is liken unto firstfruits and afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years

And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled Revelation 6:9-11.

And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of
God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years Revelation 20:1-6.

I  will give power unto my two witnesses, two olive trees, which are two candlesticks (see Revelation 11:3-4), God’s witnesses prophesy 1,260 days.

And when they (the two olive trees which are the two candlesticks, the priesthood) shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified Revelation 11:7-8.

Satan made war with the saints, and prevailed against them (the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them); Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

In the days of the ten kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed (see Daniel 2:35, Daniel 2:44).

The term “set up” H6966 qûm (Chaldee); corresponding to H6965: – appoint, establish, make, raise up self, (a-) rise (up), (make to) stand, set (up).

God of heaven, shall raise up, arise, rise up, stand, set up a kingdom, the kingdom of His dear Son, which shall become a great mountain (Kingdom), and fill the whole earth (hell shall not prevail against it, see Matthew 16:18. I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death Revelation 1:18) and the saints of the most High, shall possess the kingdom.

 

The first resurrection is the priesthood and the second woe.

 

And they (the sealed priesthood) heard a great voice (a great voice, as of a trumpet) from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither (in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets Revelation 10:7). And they (the sealed priesthood, 144,000) ascended up to heaven in a cloud (as in vapor; properly a combination or gathering, that is, of watery clouds. God the Father has sealed Christ, see John 6:27. He shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth, see Hosea 6:3. Signified the out pouring of the Holy Spirit, which is, the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the
purchased possession, see Ephesians 1:14. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit 2Corinthians 5:5); and their enemies beheld them (Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake Luke 6:22). And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell (signified the ten horns, peoples, multitude, nations, the fourth kingdom fell, see Revelation 17:1-18, Daniel 7:23), and in the earthquake (signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things
which cannot be shaken may remain, see Hebrews 12:27) were slain of men seven (the number seven H7651 shib‛âh; a primitive cardinal number; seven, as the sacred full one; signified the completion of the week, see Daniel prophecy 9:27) thousand (He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations Psalms 105:8): and the remnant were affrighted (alarmed, awake, hearing a great voice, as of a trumpet), and gave glory to the God of heaven (And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest Revelation 15:3-4). The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly (the seventh trumpet comes suddenly) Revelation
11:12-14.

 

The unchangable priesthood.

 

Christ our High Priest, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec and His Melchisedec priesthood, is a kingdom of priests, priests of God and of Christ; two olive trees which are the two candlesticks, see 1Peter 2:5, 1Peter 2:9, Revelation 1:6, Revelation 11:3-4, Revelation 20:4-6. And we know God has said, Israel is my son, an holy nation, 144,000 sons of God, see Exodus 19:6, Isaiah 61:6.

 

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house (built up G3618 oikodomeō; to be a house builder, that is, construct or confirm: [be in] builder, building, build up, edify, embolden), an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ 1Peter 2:5. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy 1 Peter 2:9-10. The first resurrection is the priesthood, they are liken unto firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb, lively stones built up a spiritual house in Christ. A royal priesthood, a holy nation, the sons of God, joint-heirs with Christ. The Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

 

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Behold, he cometh with clouds (so great a cloud of witnesses, an innumerable company of angels); and every eye (The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light Matthew 6:22. Every eye) shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending,
saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty Revelation 1:5-8.

 

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us (Gentiles) meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light (the saints in Christ): Who (God) hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son Colossians 1:12-13. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus Ephesians 2:5-7.

Scriptures are clear, God called Israel, His people and lost sheep (see Jeremiah 50:6, Isaiah 53:6, Mark 14:27). The Messiah was spoken of throughout the Scriptures, as the one shepherd that would gather the lost sheep (Ezekiel 37:24-28, John 10:11-6, Matthew 15:24, Luke 19:10). The prophet Ezekiel also spoke that the LORD will be their God, and I will make with them a covenant of peace with them and they shall dwell in their land (see, Jeremiah 32:38,40, Ezekiel 34:23-25, Amos 9:15, Isaiah 60:21, Jeremiah 24:6, Jeremiah 32:41 Ezekiel 7:25, Micah 4:4, Mark 6:34, Hebrews 13:20, John 6:51, Luke 2:11,
1John 2:2). And Jesus will build the temple of God (Zechariah 3:8-9, Zechariah 6:12-13, Isaiah 11:1, Zechariah 4:1-14, Haggai 2:21-23, Isaiah 4:1-6, Jeremiah 23:3-6, the BRANCH and the priesthood are represented in these Scriptures as one).

The fulfillment of the rebuilding of the Lord’s temple is Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts (Zechariah 4:6). Through the Spirit of the most High, the BRANCH will build the temple of God, not a material temple made with hands, but a Spiritual temple, an holy habitation for the Spirit of God to dwell forever. He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit 1Corinthians 6:17. The foundation is Jesus Christ, He is the chief corner stone and His priesthood are lively stones (see, 1Peter 2:4-10).

Through the Spirit of God the temple will stand. And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through (that determined shall be poured upon the desolate Daniel 9:27; thy judgments are manifest Revelation 16), then ye shall be trodden down by it (your covenant with death, the ministration of death, written and
engraven in stones, the letter killeth 2Corinthians 3:7) Isaiah 28:18.

Your covenant with death shall be disannulled and your agreement with hell shall not stand.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord Romans 6:23. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive 1Corinthians 15:22. Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification Romans 4:25. Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift (eternal life) came upon all men unto justification of life Romans 5:18.

John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world John 1:29. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit 1Peter 3:18. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world 1John 2:2. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins 1John 4:10.

 

For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day John 6:38-40. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat
thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world John 6:50-51.

There is one body, Christ gave himself a ransom for all. Christ is all, and in all. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the
knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time (the set time, the appointed season, the appointed time) 1Timothy 2:3-6. And we (His priesthood) have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son (the BRANCH) to be the Saviour of the world 1John 4:14.

 

The resurrection of the dead.

 

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire Revelation 20:12-15.

The expression … And I saw the dead (if one died for all, then were all dead) small and great, stand before God …For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead 2 Corinthians 5:14.

The resurrection of the small and great, they stand before God.

The small signified the remnant, 144,000.

And the great signified an innumerable company of angels, the just made perfect, all the saints of old, all that died in faith.  But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling,that speaketh better things than that of Abel Hebrews 12:22-24.

 

Jerusalem which is above, mount Sion, the city of the living God, heavenly Jerusalem is free, the freewoman, which is the mother of us all. And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun (a woman clothed in Christ), and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars, see Genesis 3:15, Genesis 3:20, John 16:21, Galatians 4:21-31, Isaiah 54:1, Isaiah 66:7-8; Micah 5:3, Revelation 12:1-17, Galatians 4:26.

These (all the saints of old) all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city Hebrews 11:13-16.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God Hebrews 12:1-2.

They (the saints of old) were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us (both, the former and the latter sealed priesthood), that they (the saints of old, all that died in faith) without us (both, the former and the latter sealed priesthood) should
not be made perfect Hebrews 11:37-40.

All the saints of old that died “in faith” having seen the promises afar off and were persauded of them, and embraced them, and confessed they were strangers and pilgrims on earth; We are compassed with a great cloud of witnesses. And God having provided some better thing for us (both, the former and the latter sealed priesthood) that they (the saints of old, all that died in faith) should not be made perfect without us.

Blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them Matthew 13:16-17. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered Romans 4:6-7. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all Ephesians 4:4-6.

Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory Ephesians 1:9-14.

The expression … and the books (signified the old Testament books) were opened (evident, manifest): and another book (signified the new Testament) was opened (evident, manifest), which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works …

 

A book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

 

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? Revelation 5:1-2. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David (a righteous branch, see Jeremiah 23:5-6), hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof Revelation 5:5.

And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and
the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for
ever and ever Revelation 5:8-14.

Jesus Christ overcome the world (John 16:33). He has opened and loosed the seven seals of the book. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

The resurrection of the third part, they stand before God, in heaven. The expression … And the sea gave up (delivered up) the dead which were in it …

Sea as in salt water. No fountain both yield salt water and fresh. The sea of people is wormwood. There fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter (see Revelation 8:10-11). And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues (diverse languages) Revelation 17:15.

The sea is liken unto peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. And they are described as the third part.And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts (denotes the double portion, double according to her works, see Revelation 18:6-8) therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein (The third part is liken unto the sea, peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues, see Revelation 8:10-11). And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God Zechariah 13:8-9.

The covenant from mount Sinai, begats bondage, and the bondwoman answers to Jerusalem which now is, and that great city is in bondage with her children (Ishmael, firstborn, see Galatians 4:21-31). That great city, Jerusalem which spiritually called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified (see Revelation 11:8). With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication (her old blood covenant) Revelation 17:2. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God Romans 3:19.

The bondwoman answers to Jerusalem and her children represents Ishmael, the firstborn of Abraham.

For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her Revelation 18:5-8.

That great city Jerusalem is spiritually Sodom (H5467 sedôm; meaning to scorch; burnt) and Egypt (signified bondage and idolatry), both Ishmael and Ephraim are the children of Egyptian women and both are the descendants of Abraham. Ephraim and his companions, all the house of Israel, represented Gentiles (see Genesis 32:12, Genesis 46:27, Genesis 48:19 -20, Deuteronomy 10:22, Ezekiel 37:15-18). Scripture is clear, God changed Jacob’s name to Israel (see Genesis 32:28). Jacob descendants were sown (God sowed Israel), among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other. And the name Israel is upon Ephraim and his seed shall become a multitude of nations (see Genesis 48:19).

Israel (all of Jacob’s tribes) is swallowed up (devoured): now shall they (Israel, the remnant) be among the Gentiles as a vessel wherein is no pleasure Hosea 8:8. And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver Micah 5:7-8.

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel (But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost (lost ten kings): In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them 2Corinthians 4:3-4.

 

The lost tribes of Isreal represent the ten kings,

 

see Revelation 17:12-18. The ten kings are liken unto bitter waters, the third part left therein, see Revelation 17:15, Revelation 8:10-11, Zechariah 13:9), until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in (That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel Ephesians 3:6. In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory Ephesians 1:13-14. Signified the latter out pouring of the Holy Spirit, the Gentiles sealed with that holy Spirit of promise). And so all Israel (the whole household) shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant
unto them, when I shall take away their sins Romans 11:25-27.

 

Death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them, they stand before God, in heaven.

 

The expression … and death (death signified the two parts therein that were cut off and died, those under the covenant from mount Sinai, the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, the letter killeth, see Leviticus 23:29-30, Zechariah 13:8, Isaiah 66:24, Galatians 2:18, 2Corinthians 3:6-11) and hell (G86 hadēs; the grave. The grave signified every burial place, all people that have died, all the fallen, the grave) delivered up the dead which were in them …

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever
and ever. Amen. And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. They shall hunger no more,
neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes Revelation 7:9-17.

The whole kingdom of God has been delivered up and standing, in Christ, before God in heaven.

 

Now comes the end.

 

Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power 1Corinthians 15:24.

 

The expression … and they were judged every man according to their works …

 

Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worshipbefore thee; for thy judgments are made manifest Revelation 15:4. All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name Psalms 86:9.

Thy judgments are manifest, see Revelation 15:1-8 and Revelation 16:1-21.

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified Galatians 2:16. Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God Romans 3:19.

Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire (the lake of fire) 1Corinthians 3:13-15.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity Matthew 7:22-23. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels Matthew 25:41. For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do
them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith
Galatians 3:10-11. This is the second death (put off the old man with his deeds, see Colossians 3:8-9). And whosoever was
not found written in the book of life (tribe of Dan, see Revelation 7:1-8) was cast into the lake of fire (purifying water, a pure river of the water of life) …

Thy will be done, as in heaven (he delivered up the whole kingdom to God, alive, as in heaven), so in earth (In Christ all shall be made alive. He gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time).

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things (in heaven and in earth) shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him (God the Father) that put all things under him (christ), that God may be all in all 1Corinthians 15:26-28.

 

The resurrection of the whole creation, on earth. In Christ all shall be made alive.

Death is abolished!

 

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ (He that seeth me seeth him that sent me John 12:45),who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel 2Timothy 1:10. Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen. 1Timothy 6:16. For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will (the Son to have life in himself) John 5:21. Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? John 11:25-26. These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent John 17:1-3. God in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image
of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high Hebrews 1:2-3. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world John 6:51.

 

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful revelation 21:5.

Behold, I shew you a mystery (having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him); We shall not all sleep (we shall not all die, his sheep have eternal life, see John 10:27-30 and the third part shall be left therein, see Zechariah 13:8-9, the third part), but we shall all be changed (G236 allassō; to make different: change), In a moment (G823 atomos; uncut, that is, by implication indivisible, an atom of time, in a moment), in the twinkling (G4493 rhipē; in an instant, in a jerk) of an eye (G3788 ophthalmos; the eye, by implication vision. Vision is to discern clearly, be of one mind, all Spirit minded, Christ is all, and in all), at the last trump (the last trump is the seventh trumpet): for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ 1Corinthian 15:51-57.

 

The expression … for the trumpet shall sound …

 

The seventh trumpet sounding, is not a literally blowing of a trumpet, but rather, through the idea of disclosure, to make known, to declare a message, to publish the mystery of God, that is now made manifest to his saints. John liken the voice of Christ unto a great trumpet and it is His sheep that hear his voice.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: Revelation 1:10-11. And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets Revelation 10:5-7. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and
they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one (One Spirit) John 10:27-30.

The expression … and the dead (if one died for all, then were all dead) shall be raised incorruptible (G862 aphthartos; undecaying, immortal) …In Christ all shall be made alive 1Corinthians 15:22.

For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead 2Corinthians 5:14. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time 1Timothy 2:3-6.

The expression … and we shall be changed …The word changed G236 allassō; is from G243; to make different: – change. G243 allos; else, that is, different (in many applications): – more, one, one another, another, some another, other, others, otherwise.

For this corruptible (G5349 phthartos; decayed, that is, by implication perishable: corruptible. So when this decayed mortal) must put on incorruption (G861 aphtharsia; undecaying, incorruptible, unending existence, immortality), and this mortal (G2349 thnētos; liable to die: mortal, mortality) must put on immortality (G110 athanasia; deathlessness, immortality) 1Corinthians 15:53.

The Apostle Paul is expressing “this corruptible, this mortal” to imply, that without one another, nothing is made perfect. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all Ephesians 4:4-6. In Christ shall all be made alive 1Corinthians 15:22.

Christ is all, and in all. And we shall all be changed, to make different, in an instant.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed (change) by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God Romans 12:2.

The word transformed G3339 metamorphoō is from G3326 and G3445; to transform (literally or figuratively metamorphose): – change, transfigure, transform. G3326 meta A primary preposition (often used adverbially); properly denoting accompaniment. G3445 morphoō; to fashion (figuratively): – form.

Scriptures are clear, emphasizing our union with Christ, in Christ all shall be made alive.

I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world John 6:51.

Be you transformed (changed) by the renewing of your mind, be reformed in the spirit of your mind. You must be Spirit minded, to be spiritually minded is life and peace. And be renewed (reformed, renewed, restored) in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on (clothed in) the new man (Christ), which after God (after the image of God) is created (created, denotes new) in righteousness and true holiness Ephesians 4:23-24. Be ye holy; for I am holy, see 1Peter 1:16 (God is Holy, in Him is no darkness and God is a Spirit). To be renewed (reformed, restored) in the spirit of your mind, is to return to a former state, created in the image of God, that is, to be Spirit minded. And to put on (Christ) is to be clothed in Christ, is to know that Jesus Christ is our covering, Jesus was a veiling garment, that is, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh (one sacrifice for sins for ever, By his body will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all, see Hebrews 10:10-12).

Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world, see John 1:29. He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world 1John 2:2. Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, see Hebrews 12:24. The worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins (having our minds sprinkled with His blood Covenant), see Hebrews 10:1. And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission (G859 aphesis; freedom; pardon: deliverance, forgiveness, liberty, remission) of these (sins and iniquities),
there is no more offering for sin Hebrews 10:17-18. And our bodies washed with pure water (by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life, see Titus 3:5-7).

And have put on (clothed in) the new man (Christ, who is the image of the invisible God, Spirit), which is renewed (reformed, restored) in knowledge after the image of him (after the image of God, Spirit) that created him (Christ): Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free (Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons, The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: he is Lord of all, see Acts 10:34-36): but Christ is all, and in all Colossians 3:10-11.

Brothers and sisters, God is no respector of persons, no partiality, no favoritism, peace by Jesus Christ, is Lord of all. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one, Christ is all, and in all.

For he (Christ) is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain (Jew and Gentile, bond and free, male and female are) one new man (Christ is all, and in all), so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby Ephesians 2:14-16.

For through him (Christ) we both (Jew, Gentile, bond, free, male, female, we both) have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together
for an habitation of God through the Spirit Ephesians 2:18-22. In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven Colossians 1:14-20. Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a
servant, though he be lord of all Galatians 4:1.

To be restored (reformed) in the spirit of your mind, is to Spirit minded, have the mind of Christ, and be no respecter of persons, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: he is Lord of all, Christ is all, and in all.

The holy habitation.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea (the sea was liken unto peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. And they are described as ten kings, the fourth kingdom). And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men (G444 anthrōpos; manfaced, that is, a human being. Humans, that which is born of flesh is flesh, all the firstborn), and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son Revelation 21:1-7.

I am not sent but unto the lost (perished) sheep of the house of Israel Matthew 15:24. Christ loved the church, and gave himself for it Ephesians 5:25.

The word lost G622 apollumi; to destroy fully (reflexively to perish, or lose), literally or figuratively: – destroy, die, lose, mar, perish.

Christ loved the church (The word church G1577 ekklesia; meaning a calling out, an assembly. To call out is to properly address his bride by her name, new Jerusalem, see Revelation 3:12), and gave himself for it (the holy city, new Jerusalem, see Revelation 21:1-6); That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water (pure water) by the word (And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God Revelation 19:13), That he (Christ) might present to himself a glorious church (And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints Revelation 19:8. She is clothed in Christ. Her veiling garment is
Christ. By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water Hebrews 10:21-22. Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, Hebrews 12:24. The worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of
sins Hebrews 10:1. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world 1John 2:2), not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it (the holy city, new Jerusalem, an holy habitation) should be holy (temple) and without blemish (Christ is all, and in all; And in Christ, God is all, in all) Ephesians 5:25-27.

For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church (The word church G1577 ekklesia; meaning a calling out, an assembly. To call out is to properly address his bride by her name, new Jerusalem, see Revelation 3:12): For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones (Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage Hebrews 2:14-15. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world John
6:51). For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh (bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh). This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church (the holy temple of God, the new Jerusalem) Ephesians 5:29-32.

And to her (the bride, the whole house of Israel, all the firstborn, the bride, the Church, the holy city, new Jerusalem) was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white (clothed in Christ): for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints (clothed in Christ) Revelation 19:8.

It was granted that the bride be clothed in Christ. The bride put off the old man with his works (signified the second death). And the bride put on (clothed in Christ) and restored in the Spirit of their minds.

What does it mean to be clothed in Christ?

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on (clothed in) Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise Galatians 3:27-29. Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; Galatians 4:1.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on (clothed in) Christ.

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no
more dominion over him Romans 6:3-9. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit 1Corinthians 12:13.

For as many of you as have been baptized (washed) into (G1519 eis; preposition, into) Christ have put on (clothed in) Christ Galatians 3:27.

How were we washed?

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Behold, he cometh with clouds (so great a cloud of witnesses, an innumerable company of angels); and every eye (The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light Matthew 6:22. Every eye) shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending,
saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty Revelation 1:5-8.

His kings and priests have put on (clothed in) Christ. We are clothed in the new man (clothed in Christ), and we have the mind of Christ, Spirit minded. The baptism symbolism, we are washed from our sins in his own blood.

What is our covering (a veiling garment)?

By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience (Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, see Hebrews 12:24. The worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins, see Hebrews 10:1. Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world, see John 1:29. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world 1John 2:2. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins 1John 4:10), and our bodies washed with pure water (Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life Titus 3:5-7) Hebrews 10:21-22.

The bride is clothed in Christ, but she does not wear that which pertaineth unto a man. The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment (That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit John 3:6): for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God Deuteronomy 22:5.

That which is born of the Spirit is spirit. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in the sons of God. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which
were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God John 1:12-13. Being born again, not of corruptible (G5349 phthartos; decayed, that is, by implication perishable: corruptible) seed (that which is born of flesh is flesh), but of incorruptible (G110 athanasia; deathlessness, immortal), by the word of God (The seed is the word of God Luke 8:11. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth John 1:14. His name is called The Word of God Revelation 19:13. It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life John 6:63. That which is born of Spirit is Spirit), which liveth and abideth for ever (I am he that liveth, and was dead;
and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death Revelation 1:18) 1Peter 1:23.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of
corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption (That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel Ephesians 3:6), to wit (that is), the redemption of our body (the ransom in full of the purchased possession) Romans 8:14-23.

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever 1Peter 1:13-23.

Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures James 1:18.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure 1John 3:1-3.

Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love 1John 4:13-18.

The blessedness of the sons of God. That which is born of Spirit is Spirit.

Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered Romans 4:6-7. The transfiguration.

And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured (G3339 metamorphoō; to transform (literally or figuratively �metamorphose�): change, transfigure, transform) before them (Moses and Elias, who appeared in glory also, see Luke 9:30-31; they represented the law and the prophets. All the saints of old that died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded
of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth, an innumerable company of angels): and his face did shine as the sun (his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength, Revelation 1:16), and his raiment was white as the light (He that seeth me seeth him that sent me John 12:45. After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country Mark 16:12. And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they
had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet Luke 24:36-40. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was John 17:5. I and my Father are one (One Spirit) John 10:30. He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit 1Corinthians 6:17) Matthew 17:1-2.

A new creature.

For the love of Christ constraineth us (His priesthood having the ministry of reconciliation); because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in
Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him 2Corinthians 5:114-21.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus (sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads, see Revelation 7:3) Galatians 6:15-17. For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter;
whose praise is not of men, but of God Romans 2:28-29. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh Philippians 3:3. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name Revelation 3:12. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel Revelation 7:4. And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God Revelation 14:1-5.

The Apostle Paul is expressing “this corruptible, this mortal” to imply, that without one another, nothing is made perfect.

So when this corruptible (G5349 phthartos; decayed, that is, by implication perishable: corruptible. So when this decayed mortal) shall have put on incorruption (G861 aphtharsia; undecaying, incorruptible, unending existence, immortality. I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God, see Revelation 20:12), and this mortal (G2349 thnētos; liable to die,perishable) shall have put on immortality (G110 athanasia; deathlessness, immortality. For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself Philippians 3:20-21), then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory 1Corinthians 15:54. .

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all Ephesians 4:4-6.

Christ is all, and in all. And we shall all be changed, to make different, in a an instant. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ 1Corinthians 15:55-57.

Christ has raised up an house, a habitation for the Spirit of God, a holy temple in Christ, a place for thy dwelling forever. This Psalms celebrates the deliverance from the Babylonian captivity, the grand redemption of the world by the Messiah. O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD Psalms 117:1-2.
