One of the most perplexing false doctrines in all of Christiandom is the “Millennial Reign” it is very troubling how few really understand Rev 20
We are still under the beast rule as far as the earth goes and the kingdom is given to the saints in a real way this blog post does not come against that in any way.
Dan 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.
The promise made to Daniel and his people will be fulfilled. Israel, which includes old and new covenant Israel.
Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
The point I am making that this fabled doctrine that limits this kingdom to what people believe to be a literal 1 thousand year period is gross error. I don’t want to diminish the fact that there will be a transition to a glorious kingdom at the Father’s appointed time but to put limits on it and mis teach what Rev 20 is really saying is really troubling. I’m so convicted about teaching it properly.
In Rev 20 you have people reigning for “a thousand years” while the bottomless pit is sealed:
Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Then when the thousand years are fulfilled, the bottomless pit is opened.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Then you have people reigning “a thousand years” when the thousand years are finished? This makes no sense… unless you understand what is really happening here.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
It just makes me crazy when I hear relatively intelligent bible teachers carry on about a “Millennial Kingdom” that lasts 1 thousand years. They don’t get it.
Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
How could Christ’s kingdom last 1 thousand years when it’s clear it last for ever and ever? The problem is they don’t understand that the term “a thousand years” is a metaphor, it means an age. “a thousand years” means an open ended period of time. It’s used the same way when we say “a picture is worth a thousand words”
There are saints that lived and reigned “a thousand years” which is talking about the church age, the age of pentecost where the Holy Spirit as the comforter indwells the born again saint. These saints are beheaded but lived and reigned? That’s a contradiction in itself when you try to understand these prophecies with flesh eyes. Beheaded is also a metaphor, this is the point. Today’s false doctrine (indoctrination) is a result of teaching scripture that is written in a spiritual, metaphorical language using flesh reasoning.
1Co_2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
After this period of “a thousand years” in Rev 20:4 comes the Gog Magog invasion, the bottomless pit, which is where we are now. The Gog Magog invasion of false teachers is the transition period that leads to the age of tabernacles when the priesthood finally manifests. When God manifests in his royal priesthood.
Hos_4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
The bottomless pit of false doctrine keeps those that believe the lies from becoming this royal priesthood that God has been trying to get since Sinai.
Exo 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
When we understand the bottomless pit as the Gog Magog invasion of false teachers during the trumpet judgements, we understand what is happening, where we are, and what is about to happen. No guess work. The false teachers, the deception, clearly warned about by Christ himself is God’s means of separation, judging his flock. His sheep hear his voice, they are not deceived. They receive the love of the truth.
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
We are transitioning from the age of pentecost to the age of tabernacles, also know as eternity, when time is no more.
Rev 10:6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
When people once and for all set down their idols, their golden calves and worship the one true God in spirit and truth. When the royal priesthood is ready, the day of the Lord will be revealed. The Third Day. While people are under the strong delusion they can not be priests: God won’t make a move while his spotless bride is bickering and back stabbing each other, fighting over their golden calf.
Hos 14:7 They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.
Hos 14:8 Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found.
There’s nothing new under the sun, God is opening up his sealed word to a few, the Third Day is about to dawn, the only question is how many are going to be part of this amazing work?
Exo 19:11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.
The bottomless pit of mans imagination teaching doctrines from their own thoughts is open.
Jer 23:32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.
When we know the bottomless pit is open we are able to understand Rev 20
. We are in that period of time.
The Lord is opening up so much these days. Reading the bible has become fun!
Why write a teaching going against idolatry but then you use lord and god which to us FEW who are awake would never use? The 1000 yr… period simply a marker, it doesnt mean the reign is not for ever, its marking when satan will be released to gather the bad of the earth together for just a little season. 90 days to gather his army, then Ahyah himself devours them all, casting satan away for eternity this starts the great white throne judgement. It’s not intended to be 1000 yrs oops its over that was it, no it is for eternity it’s only describing a time marker.
Shalom, may you be prepared for great tribulation, many of us have jobs of great importance coming during the period, may you endure to the end.
