The rapture is a myth, and the verses in question actually describe the chastisement process for willful sin.

Preterism is a carnally interpreted lie, and yet, Christ’s return is recorded as occurring perpetually since Pentecost, individually, unto every one who believes. Acts 3:19-21.

Was Paul mistaken to include himself among those remaining until/in the Lord’s Coming/Presence? 1Thess. 4:15. Or is it more likely he understood that Christ’s return was not a singular future event? I suspect Paul was well aware he would experience it during his lifetime.

Was the apostle Paul deluded, or has much been lost in translation. Can the elect be deceived? Hasn’t tradition frustrated God’s grace long enough?

The testimony of Jesus Christ is the spirit of prophecy. In other words, the witness of Christ abiding within us is the essence of what all prophecy ordains. The selfsame Spirit which came upon our brethren the prophets has today made its abode as treasure in earthen vessels. This is the promise. This is the salvation.

One does well remaining mindful of this when faced with winds of doctrine striving to direct the reader elsewhere, anywhere, but unto Him, in worship. Revelation 19:10
