Hag 2:4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:

Hag 2:9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

1Pe 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

I wanted to share some insights into the ministry of the 2 witnesses as they are the precursor to the manifestation of the 144000 son of God.

These are the keys that I’ve found in understanding the 2 witnesses. 

Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
Rev 11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

Clearly Rev 11 links directly to Zechariah

Zec 4:1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep,
Zec 4:2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
Zec 4:3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

Zechariah then expounds with tremenous detail on the 2 witnesses as they are directly typed in Zerubbabel and Joshua. They are clearly the example of the 2 witnesses and to study them in depth makes clear who the 2 witnesses are.

The 2 witnesses ministry is the precursor to the 144,000 manifest sons. Zerubbabel was the Governor of Judah and was of the line of David, Joshua was the high priest, his Father was a Zadok. Zerubbable and Joshua are the forshadow of the Royal (Zerubbabel) Priesthood (Melchizedek Zadok)

The account of the 2 witness ministry in Zechariah shows the 2 as they are commissioned with building the house of God as they return from Babylonian captivity. This is a major prophecy as it begins in the physical as the 2 lead the Jews out of Babylon back to Jerusalem then the prophecy jumps to the spiritual as this is the type and shadow of the last days as the remnant that escapes Mystery Babylon metaphorically returns to Jerusalem above to rebuild the temple of the Lord.

This is where the prophecy gets very specific and detailed. The 2 witnesses as the type of Joshua and Zerubbabel are the example of the latter house

This whole story comes together when we see Joshua Crowned which is the picture of the the royal priesthood becoming one in the 144000 manifest sons. This is clearly shown in Ezra as the remnant gather in Jerusalem at Tabernacles (very important to understand Tabernacles) as one man

Ezr_3:1 And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.

Here we see Joshua being crowned.

Zec 6:11 Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
Zec 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
Zec 6:13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

The picture of the Royal Priesthood, the remnant that escapes Babylon becoming one flesh.

Connecting back to the dying to ourselves

Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

The dead bodies lying in the street of the great city, a spiritual city signifying a condition or state of being. The key to this whole story is the word “also”

Where our Lord was “also” crucified. The 2 witness ministry is also crucified IE

This all is the precursor to the manifestation of the sons of God as they are resurrected.
